Font - I (26M) work in a small office. We had a new employee join us about a month also, Lisa (20sF). She's really beautiful, like bombshell gorgeous type beautiful. For reference, she looks a lot like Scarlett Johansson, who also happens to be my favorite actress. I literally cannot help but be attracted to her. If you saw her, you would be too.

Handwriting - So, I started leaving her little treats on her desk as a way to win her over. Snacks, coffee in the mornings, etc. She seemed to be taking it well, even smiling and thanking me for the gifts.
  • 05
Font - I've been able to catch her around the office more often, and even realized we take the same bus home after work, so I've been leaving at the same time as her to be on the same bus.
  • 06
Font - We've been bus buddies for about a week now, and I've gotten to know a lot more about her. She seemed to like me too, so I decided to take it to the next level and text her (We all have access to each other's phone numbers in the company database).

Font - Turns out, she quit this morning and told our boss it was because of me. Now I'm in hot water with my boss because she was apparently a really productive employee. But, what was I supposed to do?
  • 08
Font - It's not like I can stop myself from being attracted to her. And it's not like I did anything bad. If a woman showered me with that much attention, I would be happy about it.
  • 09
Font - My boss and I have a pretty good relationship, so I'm not getting fired or anything like that, but he is pretty pissed and says I'm an a hole. I just don't get it.
  • 10
Font - Even if she didn't like me, it's not like what I did was enough to quit over. She could have told me to stop, and I would have, but she never gave me any indication that she wanted me to leave her alone.
  • 11
Font - Edit: I didn't do any sleuthing to find her number. We're all required to post them openly in our slack profiles and we don't have company phones so everyone uses their personal number. My number is there too and I wouldn't be upset if she texted me.

Balloon - Wild_Statement_3142 6 hr. ago Right, like how did he never ever notice that it was ALWAYS him seeking her out, and NEVER the opposite. Not once did she seek him out to talk, or give him a gift.... Contact was 100% one way effort.

Font - Leaving gifts, chasing her down in the office to chat, changing his schedule to ride the same bus as her, and then texting her on her personal phone when she never gave him her numbers..... And he is still oblivious as to what he did to make her uncomfortable.

Font - Murky_Translator22956 hr. ago Oh definitely. Her warmly accepting gifts was, in reality, probably a weak smile and a "you really shouldn't have. No, please don't change your work schedule so we're on the same bus..."

Font - NothingAndNow111 21 min. ago I cannot count the number of times I've had to humour some creepy freak because it felt safer to nod and smile than to tell them to piss off. Nod, smile, play along, make polite excuse and then GTFO cos the b d seems creepy and unstable and it feels safer play it this way.

Font - nomoreuturns. 6 hr. ago Wow. If a woman showered me with that much attention, I would be happy about it. Oh yeah? How about a guy, OOP? What if a guy likely bigger than you, likely stronger than you thought you looked like [Insert Hot Actor of the Month Here] and was just so attracted to you that he decided he just couldn't help himself, he just had to have you?
